The successful candidate will join a team of professionals responsible for the implementation and maintenance of advanced applications hosted by Ashley Associates in one of Japan's most advanced datacenters. The candidate will work with others to develop new applications and to maintain existing ones (both web and standalone).

Requirements

The qualified applicant will possess the following skills and traits:
- Proven experience building medium-large web sites using dynamic languages such as .NET (Preferred), PHP, JSP
- Experience working with multiple database platforms: MSSQL/MySQL
- Thorough knowledge of current standards and browser/platform variance.
- Strong JavaScript skills (preference for ext experience).
- Strong understanding of classic design patterns, data normalization and security issues.
- Strict attention to detail and experience working in a graphic design-intensive environment
- Desire and ability to quickly learn new development platforms, tools, and techniques
- Experience working in a consulting environment with external clients
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in high pressure situations
- Natural leader who can manage technical and non-technical team members
- Strong verbal and written skills in Japanese language

Additional Desirable qualifications (experience given preference over certifications):
- .NET Certification: MCAD/MCSD or MCPD
- Java Certification: SCJP
