Job Description

-Analyzing (CLIENT) and their client requirements to support the implementation of new or existing products and services by;
-The delivery of detailed requirement documents capable of interpretation by the client and software providers to assist the efficient delivery of services.
-The collection, understanding and transmitting of the business requirements for a project or deliverable
-Translation of requirements into functional specifications, process maps and test plans.
-Obtaining client (internal or external) sign-off to the specification or proposal put forward to meet the Asia Risk objectives within the project or deliverable
-Develop best practice processes and procedures (workflows) to optimize the operational effectiveness of the Asia Risk team in delivering services based around the architecture implemented through the use of the process technology employed by Asia Risk.
-Define solutions suitable for the client and operational teams.
-Write business specifications for the design of components or functional enhancements to meet Asia Risk requirements for service delivery.
-Using process mapping tools, evolve business processes through a controlled and structured approach including analysis, documentation and mapping of existing and future business processes
-Develop the necessary documentation to support required changes to the systems or services implemented.
-Ensure functional consistency of the business areas.
-Assist in and when required the co-ordination and planning of assigned projects or items of work.
-Communicate with business units, clients and suppliers where required to facilitate the delivery of items listed above including the presenting of;
-User workshops
-Proposals, solutions/recommendations
-System/process related demonstrations
-Training courses
-Perform testing including the development of test processes, data and scripts
-Develop and/or build standard business data tables to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of systems used by Asia Risk.
-Work with the Asia Risk team, client and supplier representatives and partners (as appropriate) to provide end-to-end solutions for an assigned project (or projects).
-Provide the link between the company, the client and any third party, e.g., software provider, regarding functionality and software specification, throughout the implementation lifecycle.
-Design and execute the test scenarios and scripts.
-Day to day management of change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
-Production of weekly reports to be submitted to the project and/or line manager showing the status including outstanding milestones, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies
Scope of the Role:
-Knowledge of standard insurance practices and procedures with specific focus on Personal Accident, Motor and Claims processing.
-Be capable of taking the Lead Business Analyst role within a team to offer and provide direction and coordination of activities to achieve the project delivery.
-Perform as an independent Business Analyst to deliver tasks assigned by the management team within the overall scope of project deliverables.

Required certifications

Applicant must currently reside in Japan.

-Minimum of 5 years experience analysing and documenting complex business processes within the insurance industry
-Minimum 5 years experience producing requirement specifications for system implementation of change projects.
-Proven track record/history in the delivery of solutions supporting the implementation of projects within the insurance market
-End to end experience in the project lifecycle
-Results oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Minimum of 3 years interacting directly with clients

Company Information

Our (CLIENT) is about to embark on a period of planned significant growth enabled by business and IT change with this approach embracing new systems implementation, systems integration, governance, establishment of standards and procedures organization wide and the adoption and new process technology. This growth will encompass (CLIENT) and its subsidiary company. The initial phase of work is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete during which all initial system and process work will be completed to establish a strong foundation for a new business model through investment in technology, processes and people. Candidates must have a dynamic, engaging and pragmatic personality, understanding the insurance and financial services arena, technology platforms and service models being developed. This role sits within the IT Services Division, responsible for the implementation and management of IT services and the provision of project, change management and compliance framework.
