Job Description

Facilitate/lead Program or work, being responsible for:
Program launch / kick-off
Definition of projects of work with the coordination and management of individual projects
Approval of plans and resources to meet corporate and strategic goals and objectives, assisting in planning and resource management where required
Ensures the program remains aligned with business needs and positioning appropriate to other change initiatives and demands on resources
Control the day-to-day operation of the Program through governance and reporting processes providing status reports on a weekly and monthly basis
Monitors and manages overall program change, risks and issues. Maintains the program management plan
Manages cross-project and program resources and funding conflicts
Manages the process for benefits delivery and reporting.
Provides the key interface between the program and program sponsor.
ISEB PPSO practitioner
APMP, Association for Project Management or equivalent
Insurance qualification (desirable)
Develop best practice processes, procedures and standards to optimise the implementation and management of services across the (CLIENT) Group
Communicate with business units, clients and suppliers where required to facilitate the delivery of items listed above including the presenting of;
Status reports
User workshops
Proposals, solutions and recommendations
Work with the (CLIENT) team, client and supplier representatives and partners (as appropriate) to provide end-to-end solutions.
Provide the link between the company, the client and any third party, e.g., software provider, regarding functionality and software specification, throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Experience / Knowledge
Track record of delivering broad business change programs supported by IT enablement
Complex stakeholder management environments across multiple locations/functions and throughout the organizational hierarchy
Experience working within a Program and Project Support Office (PPSO) and Professional Services Organization (PSO) environment
Experience of General Insurance and Financial Services industry
Project/program delivery using a structured methodology, e.g., Six Sigma desirable

Required certifications

Applicant must currently reside in Japan.

Change management Minimum of 5 years experience in Program Management
Proven track record/history in the delivery of program and solutions within the insurance market
End to end experience in the project lifecycle
Results oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum of 3 years interacting directly with clients
Proven competence in leading, recruiting and developing large teams
Experience of markets with a high client services element
Experience of improving performance in a service environment
Understand how the application of technology and process can transform a client’s business
Experience of business process outsourcing

Company Information

Our (CLIENT) is about to embark on a period of planned significant growth enabled by business and IT change with this approach embracing new systems implementation, systems integration, governance, establishment of standards and procedures organization wide and the adoption and new process technology. This growth will encompass (CLIENT) and its subsidiary company. The initial phase of work is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete during which all initial system and process work will be completed to establish a strong foundation for a new business model through investment in technology, processes and people. Candidates must have a dynamic, engaging and pragmatic personality, understanding the insurance and financial services arena, technology platforms and service models being developed. This role sits within the IT Services Division, responsible for the implementation and management of IT services and the provision of project, change management and compliance framework.
